Chef Maneesh Cornelius
Executive Chef Maneesh Cornelius was born and raised in India, in a family filled with food connoisseurs. From an early age, he watched his grandmother, his mother and even his father cook up delicious food using a careful mix of quality ingredients and fragrant spices.
That love led him to complete chef school, after which he worked for various big names in the Indian hospitality scene, starting at the Lakeview Palace (part of The Taj Group of Hotels), The Leela Kempinski, and The Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza.
He then moved to Dubai, UAE to work as a personal chef to a Sheikh, where he constantly challenged himself to learn new methods of cooking, coming up with new dishes and adapted his cooking style to new flavours and new palettes.
He moved to Canada when the opportunity arose, and worked his way up from starting as a dishwasher at Sky Dome (aka Scotiabank Arena) to working as Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager for Baton Rouge and then as General Manager at Swiss Chalet in the Theatre District in downtown Toronto.
He also was Executive Chef and Purchasing and Logistics Manager for Cara Foods at Toronto Pearson Airport, where he was responsible for handling 14 different restaurants located at the Airport (including Swiss Chalet, Harvey’s, Tim Horton’s, Second Cup and Il Fornello), and helped in the successful launch of the Winnipeg Airport.
Chef Maneesh started off his own company, Manny Flavours, where he catered family and corporate events, and also had a very popular food booth at the Mississauga Flea Market. He then landed a contract supplying ready-to-enjoy meals, wraps, salads and soups to a store in the Annex in Toronto.
As his operations grew, he decided to hand over the reins so he could focus solely on creating the mouth-watering healthy food that you have come to enjoy and crave.
